Colorado wineries
After a picnic lunch, we tackled some wineries. Or perhaps they tackled us. In our opinion the wine was bad. Really bad. So bad that we shortened our tour and decided it was undrinkable.
Tonight for dinner, eschewing Colorado wines, we had a nice dinner in downtown Grand Junction at Moulin Rouge. We had foie gras with a balsamic/cassis reduction and arugula which we paired with a Sauterne and duck confit with frites and ratatouille. John had fun speaking with our serving person who even though she was French thought that John was French too. He was using his high school French accent. Apparently he must have had an excellent teacher because she was fooled. Grade for the restaurant – B which is pretty darn good for a small town restaurant.
