August 27, 2009 – Dinner at Zeni

Sarah suggested that we join Mark, her housemate, and her for dinner at Zeni. Zeni is an Ethiopian restaurant that Sarah introduced us to last year. We don’t turn down invitations to Zeni even if we are paying!

The food is served on a large platter lined with injera. Injera is a bread-like food made out of teff. Teff, an ancient grain that is very tiny, cooks up thin and spongelike. You use a piece of injera to scoop up all the yummy dishes that are piled on top of it.
