This was followed by dinner which only rates about a “C.” After a tasty sweet potato soup, the dinner went downhill. We both had a black bean and couscous salad which was okay. I continue to be unimpressed with Israeli couscous. Then John had scallops with a tomato confit and an artichoke fritter. The scallops were of course overcooked. I had a pan-fried cod fillet with an almond crust, a potato that had little slits in it and carrots all of this napped with some sort of congealed white sauce. Fish overcooked with a sandy topping and bones just about wraps up my take on dinner. Maybe “C” is too generous.
At his point my having fallen asleep once during dinner, we begged off further entertainment and went to bed.
