Not my mom

Breaking the rules

I know, this goes against every family convention. We taught our children from an early age that one must never eat at a place that had – Mom, Ma’s, Dad, Captain, Cap’n, Mr., Mrs. or homemade (or the dreaded homade), and certainly no cute spellings (Kountry Kitchen) or regional apostraphes (home cookin’) – in its name. And yet we were drawn to Mom’s Cafe. After all it is listed as a site to visit on roadfood.com.

Secondly, when one is in a state where great cuisine is virtually unknown, one must follow Utah Rules. This means you must only eat a product that has had minimal processing by a human. Kill cow, cook cow, eat cow is the mantra for these states.
