Niches in Amiens Cathedral

The cathedral has many niches decorated with wood carved polychrome figures. They detail the life of their patron saint, St. Fermin and also the life of Jesus. It is really interesting to look at the jolly/pious/disinterested people in the carvings. The are all dressed in the style which was contemporary when the cathedral was built in the 1200s.
