November 4, 2012 – Granada and Cordoba, Spain

Too long since I posted. The end of our trip, Granada and Cordoba.

On Saturday, we have a guided tour of La Alhambra. It is confusing getting to the correct place for meeting and our group is really too large. We have earphones so we can hear our guide but sometimes we cannot all fit into the areas that he is explaining. Our experience with the guide in Seville was much, much better. The Alhambra is very crowded today due to the long weekend created by All Saints’ Day on Thursday. But we are lucky it is not raining. It continues to threaten but we get through the day without a downpour. After our tour we walk down to Granada and find some lunch. Pictures from the day.

In Cordoba, we decide to be our own tour guides. We plot a course around the small old part of the city. We definitely want to see the mosque turned into a cathedral and the palace. The weather is beautiful and it is a fine day for seeing the sights.
